Are all your products hand-cut Zabiha Halal?

All lamb and beef Kaiser & Colonel Kababz products are hand-cut Zabiha Halal. The majority of our poultry products are also hand-cut. We label all our products accordingly so customers can distinguish them easily. We advise customers looking for hand-cut products only to check for the certified hand-cut label at the bottom front of the packaging when buying (in-store or online).

How often do you change the prices of your products?

Kaiser & Colonel Kababz products use all-natural ingredients; however, we mass produce within the U.S. so we can offer customers a better price and more value. Changes to our pricing occur only occasionally. For instance, our products are primarily meat-based, and the pricing of meat changes every week. Yet, in the last 15 years, our business-to-business pricing increased only twice, that too due to the repercussions on businesses during COVID-19.

What does USDA-certified halal mean?

If you see the USDA-certified halal claim on a food product, it’s proof that it complies with Islamic dietary laws and is permissible for Muslims.

There are 2 types of Zabiha Halal meat/poultry: Zabiha Halal machine-cut, the most commonly found type in halal butcher shops and grocery stores, and Zabiha Halal hand-cut, preferred by a smaller percentage of consumers.

Kaiser Foodline beef and lamb products have always been hand-cut Zabiha Halal. Our poultry products are a mix of both Zabiha Halal methods. We’re specifying which ones are hand-cut by adding “Certified Hand-Cut” text on the packaging for increased transparency.
