Get to know your seekh kebab!

What is seekh kebab?

Seekh kebabs are of Indian origin, an inspiration born from the Turkish Shish. Seekh translates to skewer - these skewered kebabs are traditionally made from lamb or beef, but the chicken version is the most popular today.

How do you make seekh kebab?

Ground or minced meat is mixed with traditional herbs & spices, like cilantro, mint leaves, ginger, garlic, salt, chili peppers & garam masala. The mixture is then formed into cylinders, loaded, & cooked
on a skewer.

Why are seekh kebabs so popular?

These succulent skewered kebabs offer a unique experience of real Indo-Mediterranean flavors, and they’re versatile! Use any meat, and eat anyway you like. It’s street food and also a must at celebrations.

Are seekh kebabs healthy?

Yes, they’re rich in protein & a cleaner, low-calorie alternative to popular fast food. Use of lean meat cuts and cooking on the skewer means the least fat. Plus, ours are made from 100% natural ingredients & minimally processed.

Detailed instructions for heating

Skillet
Conventional Oven
Microwave

SKILLET

  1. Remove the kebabs from the pouch and place them on a plate or tray, separating any pieces that may be stuck together. You don’t need to thaw them before cooking.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat for about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add a small amount of oil or butter (about 1–2 tsp) to coat the skillet lightly. This helps prevent sticking and enhances flavor.
  4. Place the frozen kebabs in the skillet in a single layer, leaving space between them to heat evenly.
  5. Cover the skillet with a lid or loosely with foil to help retain heat.
  6. Cook on medium-low heat for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs or a spatula to ensure even heating on all sides.
  7. For a crispier exterior, remove the lid and increase the heat slightly. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes per side or until desired browning is achieved.
  8. Check that kebabs are heated through (the internal temperature should reach at least 165°F/74°C if checking with a food thermometer).
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

CONVENTIONAL OVEN

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Allow it to preheat fully for even cooking.
  2. Remove the kebabs from the pouch and place them on a plate or tray, separating any pieces that may be stuck together. You don’t need to thaw them before cooking.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easier cleanup (optional), and place a wire rack on top if you have one. This allows heat to circulate underneath. helping the kebabs crisp more evenly.
  4. Arrange the kebabs in a single layer on the baking sheet or rack, leaving space between them to heat evenly.
  5. Lightly brush or spray the kebabs with oil for extra browning or crispness.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even heating on both sides.
  6. Check that the kebabs are heated through. They should be hot in the center and slightly crisped on the outside. For a deeper char, broil them for another 1–2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

MICROWAVE

  1. Place the unopened pouch flat on a microwave-safe plate. Ensure the kebabs are evenly spread inside the pouch for more consistent heating.
  2. Microwave on high for 60 seconds. This helps loosen the kababs and begins the heating process.
  3. Carefully remove the pouch from the microwave—it will be hot. Open it with caution. Caution: Hot steam will escape. Keep your hands and face away from the opening.
  4. Transfer the kebabs from the pouch to the plate, spreading them out in a single layer.
  5. Microwave the uncovered kebabs for another 60 seconds on high, or until heated through. Microwave times may vary slightly depending on your appliance.
  6. Check that the kebabs are hot in the center (the internal temperature should reach at least 165°F/74°C if checking with a food thermometer).
  7. Let cool slightly and enjoy!
